Penang tour- Day 2.

Ok this is Day 2.
Match-Day.
Early morning wake up call, and here are the shots...





After praying, showering,changin..we head to another nasi kandar for breakfast..




then its off to the field, some light warm-up by jogging and streching...

all the plans are laid out for the match, and we lose the toss, and get to field first...




and then we bat...and make it about 22 overs...




after a well-deservin win, we head to the showers..and then go out around 6.first to the mall..like we have never seen those before...and this mall is worn out...seriously..i think its older than i am...

Day 3..would be the match with the Aussies..and then we head back to KL...

Penang Tour-Day One.

One week of midterm break went by like a flash...
All the fun happened in the last 3 days!!..We had a Penang Tour (cricket), our University team went to penang to play against USM(Universiti Sains Malaysia).
So since this was a trip..i asked prith if he was free and if he could join us as a "fan/supporter/water boy/scorer/photographer/..." and he said "why not?!"

We were playing on Saturday and Sunday...but left on friday...

Itinerary
Departure from (IIUM gombak): supposedly 7.00 a.m but we left at nearly 8 a.m


Pit-stop: Tapah R&R for breakfast..around 10.20 a.m.

Pit-stop No.2..Drivers are "refreshed"..and the bus is refueled....




Arrival: Penang Island USM around 2.00 p.m. Since the bus driver was agonisingly slow..we missed our friday prayers...i think i should do the driving..



On the plus side, we had a great bus to go in...had 2 tvs..dvd players..watched movies...and had "business" class seats...maybe they wanted to show off to the Aussie guy lurking among us.>>Pman..haha..kidding....

First thing we do when we arrive is EAT!!..ahhah..Lunch..at
"Nasi Kandar Khaleel 24 Jam"


After that we go to check into our "HOsTEL"..courtesy of USM...we got a room on the 10th floor...but it was above our standards...much better than the ones in IIUM gombak..

Once we got our rooms..everyone took a bath..prayed...and then head off to the cricket field for some early practice for saturdays match...



After the practice..headed back to our rooms....and then we went for Dinner..at one of the millions and billions of nasi kandar outlets...this one was called "subaidah"...i think we were competing on who can get the fattest bill...can u believe one of us paid 18 bucks for mamak food..haha..i paid 13 la..while pman around 15 i think...i think this was because we ate praws, chicken tandoori/goreng, mutton....some fancy drink "mango sprite soda"..hahaah...and that was not the only drink...damn..now to think of it..why the hell did we order so much food...??




well after that huge bill...we went back to the "HOsTEL"..and then we went to this pedestrian bridge..and took a few photos..after a few minutes..it looked awkard that so many guyz of "indian-subcontinent" origin were hanging around the bridge..as if we were some labourers who work for one of the 24 hours outlets...

well anyways..after taking some photos..went back to the room...and i think we slept around 2 am..after hearing some useless "scary" stories...and then we went to bed..




OK i will continue the story later...DAY ONE is over...actually it was over after 12 a.m..i strecthed it till 2 a.m

BTW, this was the first time my complete 512MB memory of the camera was used up..i think there were nearly 600 photos...

...Midterm Break

...Ahh..pressure and tensions are slowly being released..Midterm break is approaching..though its just a week off..i think i need it..My classes this sem are a nightmare...
Monday to Thursday i have classes from 8.30A.M till 10 P.M...the breaks are just for lunch/dinner and prayers...nuthing much..
So No time to study or revise the days work..
Since the last post...when i met with prith and ubaid....we met again just before Ubaid left for Cambridge UK...this time we met in MAZ...as usual the camera went with me..

Next event happened on the 14th of January...i became a year older and a year wiser
This year the bday was special as my grandparents were here...its always great having them around...
Secondly..i got a surprise Bday "party" in the EDU cafeteria...it all started by sms...
Ambreen:" Lets meet for lunch"...
then kiyama:"how about lunch today"...and a missed called from nabila...this was strange..as usually i bug them with sms to have lunch or dinner together...ahhaha....
Well i thanked them..and i thank them again...for being so thoughtful..and caring..and lets not forget the wonderful Choclate Walnut cake...sorry no pics..as i didnt carry my camera!...

Past few days...

The past few days..have gone and a lot of things have happened...
First of all Eid Mubarak and a happy new year to all..
Well prith's back and we met up and ubaid came along as well..so we met on friday before new years...
Also my relatives are here at home..so almost NO work is being done...this always happens..when families get2gether...well i will post some photos that i took in KLCC..it was an amazing view...
