We went to this place once..or was it twice??..i cant remember or recall.I remeber that we went on that Helicopter Simulator..which takes us on a ride to an Off-shore Oil refinery..it was pretty cool..
This place also had a F1 "simulator"..it was just the cars shell/monocoque.. and they placed a damn monitor on it..with F1 from EA sports..
I dont remember much of this trip other than we ate at Burger king..

THis has been another late post, mainly due to the hectic week that just went by..We had an event called "Ummatic Week" which is like International Day. We put up a stall for India where our theme was marriage..
I will post pics once i get them..
Also the next item on the Scans project is the Concert of FOrm2

Class Photo-Form 2

This should have been up a week ago, i know, i am so sorry. I have been busy in too many things, yet i cant justify the delay. Time management is very important, i am trying hard, yet i procastinate. I think the root of all my problems is that i am LAZY!!. I dont want to waste this space with whats wrong with me...lets get to business..
Ohh ya..FORM 2. This was one single class, our class-teacher was Mr.Anbu, he also taught us Literature. The book we were reading at that time was "The Grapes of Wrath" by John Steinbeck. I couldnt remember the name of this book, it took me quite some time on google and wikipedia. All i remember about the book was that it was about the life on cotton fields, and a character named Sharon..actually Rose of Sharon Joad...the memory does come back..we used to make fun of sharon...hahahah..dont flame me..it history now...

In Form 2 we also had the concert which used to take place every 2 or 3 years..yet they used to call it "Annual" concert. We wrote,directed and produced the whole play. It was a collective effort that i/we were proud of. We had a "funky" class filled with different characters..and dont forget our cool Principal played by none other than Pman(prith).
I think i still have the script of that play, i will have to search for it, but i do think that i have it.If i do find it, it will be attached to the next post, which will be on the Concert which took place in the MAS Auditorium in Kelana Jaya.

Happenings..

For the 2nd time in IIUM..we are having drifting..yeeehaaa..damn cool..though i did not go for the first event earlier this year..i would go for this one..
Few drift competitions..sad i dont have an FR car to participate..if i still had my van..wooohoo..it would have been the return of the "White ghost" (my old white van)..drifting van..well enough of day dreaming..
Still i will go there..to see live cars burning rubber..doing donuts..





On the scans "project"..this weekend i will get some time..and inshallah u will see some better posting than usual..ahaha

Hectic...

...where do i begin..i havent had sleep for the past 3 or 4 weeks..weekends have not been a refuge for sleep..instead it has either been damn extra classes, events involving Indian Students society..or Cricket..
Cricket has been good..we made to the finals..and lost!!..well it was good since we had no practice at all..respect hahaha..
We played International Cricket Sixes, kuantan. This was the best result in our University's history in this event. We also grabbed the Best batsmen of the series and also the best bowler. Our names were even in NST..well the headlines were "Singapore Ceylon Club beat IIUM"..but it was there..hahahaha..
but we hope to bring back the cup and the glory back..as this tournament will take place in Singapore..in about six months..

Sorry for the Inconvenience caused, as some due to unforseen circumstances one of them being that i am busy like shit..and the other being that i have lost data ..no not the files..but some data from The database of names..in my brain that is..hahah..well as soon as i remember this name..i will post the pics..as i have now placed the names on the Picture itself..a bit of Photoshop..basic la..

Class Photo..Form1 [Missing]

I have no idea why, but i dont have a class photo for Form 1, was it budget cuts in Maz that prevented this..or have i lost my copy. But even victor doesnt have it seems.
I would first of all thank victor for his contribution of 105 Photos, of which i had only 11, which means i can use 105-11=[..damn it..where is the calculator..]..94. He sent me a zip file..which contained lots of photos..especially from the International Day, and the last day of Form3..I will be posting them soon (Inshallah)

At the moment, i dont have time to post a long story on a Photo..as i cant decide what event came first..was it the concert or was the First Frim Trip..remember there were 2 of them...
so If anybody has any pics from form1..do shoot me an mail..So does anybody remember did we have the concert first or the Frim trip...concert was in form2 i think with MR.Anbu...where we did the PLay on the class where my name was bambino chikamunga..and prith was the "cool" principle..

Class Photos..Primary 6 Daisy

Since i came in the last term of Primary 5 Tulip..i dont have the class photo..
I remember that when i came back to school, there was no place in the Tulip section so i was shifted to the Daisy section..here i met one of the best teachers i had..Mrs ALi. At that time, i was a good, hardworking [Add all the good qualities u can find..hahah] and naive boy..do the work and please the teacher..therefore i was like a Teacher's pet..I still remember Salah and me used to get Cheeze sandwiches from Mrs.Ali, probably the best cheeze sandwiches i ever had..it used to have a special cheeze..made in some special way..which i had No clue of..All that mattered was the Cheeeeeezeee sandwich..
Since i was a teacher's pet, i used to even mark the exam papers in break time..i think if i remember correctly..i used to be accompanied by someone..either it was Moneeb or Manini and Sharon..or ...my memory seems to have lost some the data..

I remember that i used to sit near to the end of the class with Moneeb (may Allah have mercy on his soul and i pray for his place in heaven.)..He used to be the Head-Prefect while Ubaid was Vice-head Prefect..when he left, ubaid was promoted and i was made Vice-Head Prefect...

this one was taken in 1993.
Before we had a Mamak Stall, before we had a green shade above our heads, before alot of other developments to this International School called Maz, we had concrete floors, a tin can as a cafeteria and some classrooms(hope you guys remember that eheh) and ofcourse miniature sizes of us running around this building like we were carefree and had nothing better to do..Here's some of us..

Actually there too many ppl to name..i will name them later...

Well if you put on your glasses or zoom in and look closely between Ambreen and Deboshree you will see Umair, and between Hong and Ahsan is most likely Simran.

While looking for a few books yesterday...i stumbled upon this..our class photograph from FORM5..both arts and science students..


ohh..this brings back lots of memories...today ahsan sms's me to bring my old photos from school so that we can scan them..to have digital copies..i think i will post them as well once they are scanned..

A picture is worth a thousand words, well this picture hmm...is definitely more than a thousand words and its a suitcase full of memories. A story behind this picture, well there are many, you can make a bollywood movie out of this one, a movie with a star studded cast with an equal balance of comedy,action, a bit of thriller, a bit of romance with a touch of suspense..some emotional moments with some sad endings. Some crazy choreography, some unbelievable direction, a multilingual script with some vulgarity(eheh). Ofcourse whats a movie without a fight scene and a bollywoood dance. So in other words, a movie was made the day this picture was taken, a movie we can only see now... so sit back and enjoy it..

Flashback...

When i was getting on the flight back to KL, i felt i had left or forgotten something back home in India..until now that is..i left my soul, my heart there..
The one thing that will and always bring me back my motherland is my family there..i just cannot live without them...

Scenic routes..road from Gaya to Hazaribagh

In the process of building a proper 4-lane expressway

it was like yesterday....

yes..it was like yesterday..i remember it clearly..getting on the flight to india..getting all excited to spend my 2 month long vacation...well it all ended on 30th june..this time vice versa...
Well the last 2 months were great..lots of fun and lots of Mangoes..oohh..the mangoes..Indian(north) mangoes are probably the best..there is no fruit that comes close these delicous and juicy fruit...i think i used to eat atleast 2KG of these a day...the reason being that this is the first time in 9 years that we went back to india in the summer season..where mangoes are all over the road-sides..and are sold more than Indian sweets..people buy mangoes instead of sweets as gifts when they vist friends or relatives...
My parents joined me in india as well as my paternal uncle was getting married. My paternal side is 1000km from my maternal side..which means journey by train..24hours in a train..and NO..its not fun....i usually try to sleep...but this time i killed time by taking some photos..
During this trip..i think i took nearly 1GB of photos..some random..some with a purpose..well i will keep posting some more pics...

"Kabhi khamoshi..khabi BLOG"..

..which means..sometimes silence..sometimes BLOG...
Its been a long silence..and it was due to a few reasons..one of them being that..i am in INdia..enjoying my summer vacation..some good news is that..we now have broadband in smaller towns and cities as well..and i am getting the 512kbps package here...pretty good compared to the hair splitting DIAL-UP..this broadband is so good thati can continue using torrents for my beloved TOPGEAR..HURRAY!!..

The first episode was great..really loved it..which cannot be said for the its rival FIFTH GEAR..the day they get rid of Vikki.is the day they will improve...(for thse who dont watch this show..dont watch it..just get TOPGEAR)

India has been HOT..and NOT humid..temp is around 35C-38C..while Delhi is scorching hot at 44C..i have been snapping a few pics here and there of this diverse nation which i will have to go through first and then post..

at the moment its time for lunch..here..and yes..indian food..is best in INDIA..where else would it be..haha..time for kebabs..tandooris..and then later the sweet dish...ok..i will stop it here..and stop torturing those who love this cuisine..

Washed out

A must win match, we batted first..made 218 in 44 overs. And then took 2 wickets in 4 overs...this was the win we needed to make amends to the losing start we made to the season. But the clouds rolled in and totally washed out the game..it became a swimming pool Literally..

Cricket-in Kuantan

I was asked to play for my team on Sunday in Kuantan. We had to leave on Saturday night so that we can play on sunday morning.
We stayed in IIUM Kuantan Campus, it comprises of Kulliyah(Dept) of Medicine.
Its hostel rooms are so much better and cleaner.
Well enough of that, we played like shit on that day though. We batted first and i made a measly 3 runs.
though in my defense, i left a ball that was pitched outside my leg stump, and spun into the leg stump. i had faced a few spin balls before that and there was no turn..i was surprised..and got OUT!
Well we put up a small total of 76. But we fought hard, we took 5 wickets in reply and pressured them in just taking sinlges..it tool them 26 overs to reach that 76.
This is just the first tournament for us, and we are the most unproffesional team in it.
Hopefully we will do better next time.

Exams Over..

Well the exams are over and after 2 semester..which is considered the End of Year 1 of bachellor's of Engineering..and the next time i go back..i will be an Automotive Engineer Student.
Ahead of me lies a long Holiday..nearly 3 month..Hurray!!..hopefully i will be going back to india for these 3 months..ahhh..cant wait for that...
well since my head is still full of equations, formulas,laws and theories...i cant help but laugh at some answers that people have written who dont seem to have studied or are HIGH..ahha..
well just see for urself..

Now i know why i got a B for my Chemistry..ahha..
